A Musical and Humble Beginning

I’m Dan. This is my first foray into photography but I am no stranger to music and live performance. I have been been studying music and performing since I was ten years old. I hope to draw from that experience and apply a musical approach to documenting live performances. I have no idea where this trip will lead me, but I am excited and focused.

This series will act as a chronicling and conduit for diving deeper into the Oklahoma City music and art scene. My intent is to learn more about local music history, write about venues past and present, interview musicians and share their stories, and discover what music means to OKC.

Each story posted here will be accompanied by photos linked to the photojournal section. I hope to capture a unique portrait of everyone that I can interview. Let’s work together to discover more about each other and find ways of improving the music and art of this city. Together, we can leave this place better than we found it.
